St John Fisher Catholic High School

Our Pastoral Team

"All students spoke highly of the pastoral provision in school. A range of support is offered from informal chats to the safe haven of ‘The Attic’, a centre within school where mentors provide enormous support to students from across the school on a range of needs. As a result, students are mostly happy, confident and secure in their personal and emotional stage of development. The school holds as important each student’s mental health and well-being."

At St John Fisher Catholic Academy, our Pastoral Team is a compassionate and experienced group of professionals who work closely through our inclusive approach to support every student’s wellbeing, personal development, and learning journey.

We are committed to ensuring that all students, regardless of background, need, or ability, feel seen, heard, and supported to thrive in every aspect of school life. We believe that strong pastoral care is essential to helping young people grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential.

The team meets regularly to review the needs and aspirations of our students, sharing insight and offering targeted support. When needed, we also work closely with external agencies to ensure students and families have access to the specialist guidance and care they may require.

At the heart of everything we do is a belief in the dignity and worth of each individual and a shared commitment to helping all our young people flourish.
