Welcome to Science Year 7 - Year 9
Academic Overview:
Science we explore the tiniest particles to the vastness of space and everything in-between. Through practical work and scientific enquiry our students will develop the skills to question, develop hypothesise and investigate. They will discover real-world applications of science in their everyday lives and students will learn how science shapes society and how they, in turn, can shape a better future. Our aim is to enable students to understand the world around them, both natural phenomena and the impact their individual actions can have as well as being able to interpret information on social media and the news and make educated decisions. We want to encourage and inspire students to become lifelong learners by nurturing their curiosity, developing their critical thinking skills, their desire to ask questions and search for solutions. Science is exciting because there is still so much more to discover; the world of science is constantly evolving and developing. We hope to inspire the next generation of scientists.
